The Chevrolet Corvette, Well worth the Insurance Premium

I’ve always enjoyed all types of cars from imports to American muscle. I remember when I was about 17 I bought my first turbo-charged eagle talon. I love this car for the fact that became stuck with about 215 hp and room for improvement. After installing an aftermarket intake, some hard pipes and an exhaust system; this car slowly became one that could hang with some of the big boys. Remember racing a Mustang 5.0 on a quarter-mile stretch and beating it by a hood length. One big boy that could never be taken, the Chevrolet Corvette

I’ve always been a big fan of the Chevrolet Corvette ever since the stingray which came out back in 1963. As time went on I only see the improvements with this high-performance dream ride. I was an even bigger fan when the 1968 version of the stingray came out with its huge hood and it’s sleek body style. This model was also known as the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C3 model. In 1969 the Corvette stingray came out with a ZL-1 big block engine which produce over 525 Hp. Knowing how much horsepower you’ll find in a Corvette, you know consider yourself someone who has or has not been behind the wheel of a REAL high performance sports car.

So have the years go by these keep getting better. Corvette comes out with a number of models for the ultimate Chevy enthusiast. The Corvette’s 50th anniversary was celebrated on the 20th and 21st of June back in 2003. And even after 50 years they continue to bring their high-performance sports cars to a whole new level. Where is Chevrolet now with their Corvette? The answer to that would be the ZR1. Some are calling this dream car the “Blue Devil” with its 6.2 L engine producing 638 hp. The sticker price for the “Blue Devil” was estimated at about $100,000 US.

The risk of owning one of these vettes is the envy.  Check out this stolen vette on a car chase.
